I was very impressed with this upscale Italian dining experience in Honolulu. All the food was fresh and deliciously prepared. Had the Crab Spaghetti with Urchin, Dill, Bread Crumb and an entire fish Branzino with Red Chimicurri, Fresh Herbs for entrees. The spaghetti had big chunks of crab and I was nervous about the urchin but it was hardly noticeable in the dish. Was happy with the choice of this establishment for a quiet ambiance and overall enjoyable dining experience.

A unique experience... Loved my dinner experience at Cino which is located in Kaka'ako...'A'ali'i Condominium to be exact on the ground level along side besides a few other biz they're located in the very back and what a lovely place. Reservations is a must at this cozy spot as it fills up very fast though the seatings can get quite limited the service is just phenomenal. I started dinner with a drink..."Queen's Sunset" to be exact as this papaya infusad Tequila among other items gave it a kick for sure. As we started with the Chilled Seafood Platter the spectacular presentation is amazing that they had no idea where to begin accompanied by some well crafted sauces this thing of beauty was incredible. 25oz Bone in Ribeye, Branzino, Wagyu Special, and Veal Parmesan was definitely something I'd totally recommend...the ribeye was just prepared perfectly and sliced for easy grazing, Veal was a massive tomahawk like presentation that we didn't expect, Branzino grilled beautifully plated on top of my most favorite chimichurri sauce that had a yummy kick i could have that sauce on everything. The Wagyu was phenomenal the delicate flavors just exploded our palate beyond what we'd expected. Needing something fresh we also ordered broccolini and a Caesar salad which was a bit different as it wasn't romaine but some other type of greens along with what seems like roasted bread crumbs was different but a welcome freshness that i enjoyed. Dessert was Lilikoi sorbet for me with several huge and generous scoops of yumminess a treat indeed that was a great way to end our journey.

My boyfriend surprised me with reservations at Cino for my birthday. I wonder if he used Yelp to help him find this spot? I'm usually the person that makes reservations in our relationship so I'm very pleasantly surprised that he found this restaurant. Located in the Ward area, across from the Victoria Ward park. There is free Ward shopping center parking close by but you do have to walk just a bit. The interior is cool -- kinda giving art nouveau. I will say that it can get a bit loud inside, at least from where we were sitting. There was a lot of "HUH!" "What did you say again?" in our dinner conversations. For food we ordered: Lamb ragu pappardelle- fresh pasta and a creamy dollop of ricotta. Crispy rice- this is one of my favorite bites of the night - super crispy rice - almost like a hash brown, topped with hamachi and caviar. Beef tartare - the tapioca puff made of a bit hard to eat since it was easily breakable. I think it would've paired better with a nice piece of bread but overall it was good (if you're into this kinda thing)! Okay, this is where it gets a little confusing. Because I'm now sure that I ordered the romaine salad, it's something that I saw pictures of on Yelp before ordering. It was something I was set on but instead of the salad, the charred octopus was put on our table. I mentioned to the person who put the octopus on our table that I wasn't sure if we ordered that, although she wasn't our server she was confident that we ordered the octopus. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise because the octopus was very good! I was just hoping to pair the pasta and salad together. And then it got a bit more confusing, after we had ate our meal- our server came up - put some more utensils down and said " ready for your entrees?" And then it dawned on us that our server didn't really check up on us when we had our meal (we were meaning to ask about the salad but never got the chance). We didn't dock our server on this - I could see that he had a large section both inside and out on the patio. There was support staff that helped out a lot but there was just some lapses in communication.

Gfs took me there for my bday. Cute place but little loud. Bad acoustics, but after wine, we got over that. Got there a little late b/c of traff, but we had called and they said we had 15 past our res to get there. Started with wine - they didn't have the one we selected, but offered a good option. That worked, and except for a short miscommunication between bottles, we were good to go. Started off wtih some pupus: - Octopus - Tasted okay but sooooo overcooked. Good if you don't like to chew your food. Borderline mush. - Beet Salad - this was pretty good. Gf loved it. - Fritto Misto - I really liked the cauliflower. Seemed to be a lot of it. Don't think I got anything else. - Cino Pinwheel - we all wanted to try but since no meat, didn't want as a main. This was sooooo gooood. - Branzino - gf had this. She wanted the sauce on the side, but it wasn't. No biggie since she ended up liking it. I personally liked just the fish. Cooked well. - Double baked pot - so good. - Vongole - other gf had this. She always get that from wherever we go. She liked it though. - Crab Spag - I got this and it was bland. I tasted the uni separate b/c you just gotta, and yum...but then I mixed it in, and still no taste. Better to eat it separately. Said there was dill, but not much of it to add any flavor. And still bland when I had it as a leftover. One thing I wish we had was bread. I love bread. The Vongole came with a crostini, so my friend gave that to me...but would have been nice to have some earlier. Had a wonderful bday dinner. Our waiter was super awesome. I'd go back but no tako or crab spag. Just Pinwheel and a steak.

2nd time here and it BLEW ME AWAY! The staff was so nice and considerate, the drinks were fantastic, the seafood platter was so fresh, the pinwheel was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever eaten, the octopus was perfectly cooked with the right amount of char, and the twice baked potato was more delicious than I could've imagined. It was my first time dining inside and it is gorgeous! The music was good and the vibes were just perfect. Overall, really great place for dinner with friends, date night, a birthday, or just a really delicious meal!

I recently dined at Cino and overall, it was a solid experience. The service was excellent--I'd give it a 5. The staff was very attentive, making sure our needs were met promptly and with a smile. As for the food, I'd rate it a 4. The crab pasta with uni was amazing--absolutely delectable. However, the salad was a bit of a letdown. It was drenched in dressing and overly salty, to the point that my friend had to reorder it with the dressing on the side. Once that was corrected, the meal was much more enjoyable. The biggest drawback was the temperature inside the restaurant. It was so hot that I found myself sweating, which made the meal less comfortable. Maybe because it was packed which they should have adjusted the temperature. Parking was convenient, as I parked by Whole Foods. Despite the few issues, I would still recommend Cino and give it a 4 overall. I would definitely go back!!

Wonderful new gem in Ward Village serving flavorful Italian fare. Excellent service from Dylan. Contemporary decor with inside and outside seating. Love the charred tender octopus appetizer and the popular Cino pinwheel truffle pasta. Uni crab pasta was alright with a light sauce. (For a creamier uni pasta, I recommend checking out Arancino.) The star of the meal was the truffle pinwheel pasta, which I highly recommend. Even though my wallet was crying, my palate was in heaven ;) For dessert, the tiramisu is thick like a chocolate bar on the heavier side. The lilikoi (passionfruit) sorbet is light and fruity. I want to try the panna cotta next time. Overall, we were impressed with the food, but the loud noise level from other diners can be an issue. On a Monday night for dinner, we happened to be seated in the back room with a large party, and it was uncomfortably loud for all the other tables in the room. The restaurant is working on some sound dampening cushions so hopefully that will be coming soon. In the meantime, I recommend opting to dine outdoors if you are seated near a large party so you can truly enjoy your fancy meal and hear your dining partners!

A great place to celebrate! Cino has such a nice atmosphere, kinda strange to note, but their chairs are SO comfortable and the dining room is beautifully decorated. Indoors can get a bit noisy. I highly recommend trying a dinner special--I ordered the agnolotti which was perfectly cooked + filled with sweet corn and topped with a corn foam. I also tried bites of my parents' branzino (daily dish special) and ribeye. Another standout was the fluffy twice baked potatoes! I ended my night with a refreshing lilikoi sorbet (always save room for dessert!). Couldn't ask for a better dining experience--and excellent service was the icing on the cake :) we will be back!

What a beautiful ambiance! A perfect restaurant for special occasions. I happen to celebrate my birthday dinner here and our server JR was outstanding. Upon seated, he was very descriptive about how the restaurant came to be and explained their menu. We trusted him on our choices and we were blown away. Located at Ward by Holey Grail. Just a few walking distance. For appetizer, we ordered Fritto Misto with Beef Tartare and they were delicious. Entree we ordered New York Strip and Wagyu Special with Broccolini and Crispy Garlic Potatoes. Dessert was complementary and we got 2, Tiramisu 10/10 and I forgot what it was called but it was Mango and Coconut Cream. We both were impressed and would love to come back and try other item on their menus.

Dinner in Honolulu, Hawaii... Many of my friends (Angel, Lyla, Rod, Jo, Lorie, Scott, Kristian, Darryl, Jenel, Nadia, Shigeru, Peter C., and Donna) wrote 5-star reviews for Cino... I had high expectations! I got my neighbor to go with me because she's blunt about food... haha! We parked for free at the Ward Entertainment Center (under the Consolidated Theater) and walked over. Located across from Nori Bar, and down the sidewalk from Planted by La Tour, Cino was at the end of the row of businesses. The interior was rather large and a bit noisy. The convenient restroom was pleasant but had a strange odor like stagnant water. My neighbor and I discussed if the fragrance could be from a human, but no... because it remained for a while... (Gas would dissipate.) Hailee was our cheerful, competent server! She was efficient and friendly! We were really looking forward to enjoying the food, but the asparagus was too salty (we thought about taking it home and rinsing it off); the duck legs were on the tough side and were rather tart (the sliced meat was succulent); and the butterfish was drowning in miso sauce. We both liked the beet appetizer with goat cheese! My favorite was the crab spaghetti. My neighbor had her first taste of uni and let me have the rest! I'm glad that I got a chance to visit... Bucket list item was checked off! I'd go back for other things on the menu, but I'm not in a rush.
